1. Black & Decker CHV1510 Dustbuster
Yes, this is the legendary Dustbuster, with the best suction of all handheld, battery-powered vacuums and weighing just at 3 pounds. Don’t underestimate its power; just go ahead and aim this little dustbuster at anything, and if it wasn’t sucked up, then you should simply pick it up by hand, duh! This powerful handheld is highly commended by Consumer Reports, with its good charge for a handheld and on board attachments. Emptying the collection bin is easy too, and at this price, it is not hard to see why the Dustbuster is topping the bestseller list.

2. Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Rewind Upright Vacuum
One of the most highly regarded upright vacuum cleaner, Hoover WindTunnel sucks hardwood, carpets, stairs and even furniture! This bagless vacuum is quite light compared to many upright models, adjusts well to various carpet lengths, and has wonderful suction. In fact, dust and fur from edges and corners get sucked up even without attaching hand tools, how convenient is that. Plus, it is not loud even though it is powerful, which is great!

3. Dirt Devil SD20000RED Simpli-Stik
Now when I saw the price of this stick vacuum cleaner, my first thought was “Wow!” And after looking at a couple of reviews, I’m sold. Who can go wrong with a $20 vacuum? This compact vacuum can be chucked at a corner upstairs to be used for cleaning up spills and whatnot, knowing my kids and the dog, and it really works. It doesn’t have a big collection bin, but I only use it for the occasional mess, so that’s no problem. It can also be turned into a handheld vacuum!

4. Eureka EasyClean Hand-Held Vacuum
The EasyClean is a little handheld vacuum that is powerful and great for pet hair, and you can also use it to suck dust out of the tight corners and cracks. There’s a funny visor thing that you can used for vacuuming in different directions, which is rather novel and cool! The bin empties without a mess and the filter can be washed as well.

5. Bissell CleanView with OnePass
This is a good value for money if you are looking for an upright vacuum cleaner under $100. At just about $80, the Bissell Cleanview works nicely for carpets or hardwood. Its build is decent, easy to put together, and although it doesn’t compare to a Dyson in suction power, it certainly doesn’t cost you $500! It’s also bagless and has washable filters so that’s another saving!

6. Bissell PowerEdge Pet Hard Floor Vacuum
The strange look of the V shape edge is compensated by its effectiveness to suck dirt, fur and anything else. It also doesn’t have brushes because it is meant for hard floor types, which is just as well because that means one less part to clean of tangling pet hair. This vacuum cleaner is light and simple to use around the house, though some say it can be loud because of its power.

7. Hoover Linx Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner
“Cordless” and “Stick” simply spell convenience so you can be sure this is the vacuum cleaner to use in those areas without a power point or where the cord of your usual vacuum just won’t let you reach. This vacuum is very user friendly, you can go from surface A to surface B without batting an eyelid, and empty the dust can similarly. It also has a washable filter, which is pretty much what everyone is looking for nowadays.

8. Black & Decker 18V Cordless Pivoting Hand Vac
Called a “pivoting hand vac”, this cordless handheld vacuum has a nozzle which can be turned to different angles and a built-in brush for an amazing range of cleaning you want to do. Simply pivot the vacuum instead of pivoting your wrist and avoid getting a strain! There is a spinning in the vacuum so that the dirt keeps off the filter. When it finally gets dirty, you can take the filter out and wash it.

This WindTunnel model is something like the other one, but it comes with a higher price and guess what, a washable HEPA filter! Now HEPA filter is my absolute favorite feature when it comes to vacuum cleaning because I have a kid who is allergic to dust in the air. When you are vacuuming those long hairs and dust off the carpet and floor, the filter also cleans the air so that allergies are kept at bay!

10. Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub Wet/Dry Vacuum
This is not just a vacuum cleaner, but a mop as well! This Hoover FloorMate vacuums the floor, scrubs your tiles with a moving brush, mops them with the microfiber pad, and sucks back the dirty water! With this pretty lightweight vacuum plus mop, you will never have to do the work twice again.
